To inculcate a culture of peace, good governance and sustainable economic agricultural practices as a major poverty reduction measure through rural environmentally-friendly projects

STRATEGIC PILLARS

To involve elders, reformed militia warriors, women, youth and children helping us to build, to protect and to promote the fundamental human rights and the basic services into the community thus ensuring growth

To protect the environment against destruction and rehabilitation of Mt. Elgon forest, to reduce household and community vulnerability to disasters; and strengthen the community in time of risks, landslides, floods, epidemics and conflicts.

Through training community members especially, the vulnerable groups on life skills and business skills. Composite fertilizer production for increased crop yields with financial support and Small-scale bee keeping and increased on farm tree cover project. The organization links youth and women to credit facilities such as UWEZO Fund and Women Enterprise Fund

Community sensitization, awareness creation, training, prevention and support to orphans, vulnerable children and widows.

About Us

KAREU MPYA CBO is an acronym for Kenya Agriculture Reforms Elgon United (KAREU) Managing Programmes for Youth in Agriculture (MPYA) Community Based Organization (CBO). The organization is based in Cheptais Sub-county, Bungoma County in Western Kenya. KAREU MPYA is a grassroots organization that implements peace, agriculture, governance and environmental projects across Bungoma County, with a mandate of enhancing community resilience against violence and poverty.
